Saudi Arabia has opened new sectors for local talent
KSA’s Minister of Economy and Planning Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri stated on the sidelines of the WEF in Davos that new business sectors including entertainment, hospitality and services were introduced for local talent. Diversified policies represent key driver for the private sector employment, Al-Tuwaijri noted, adding that 68 labour initiatives were launched last year. He noted that KSA also spent more than SAR1bn a year on social protection programs, and will likely make more progress in this field. Projects including Riyadh metro, airport privatisation and digitalisation all echo the transition to the private sector over the coming years, the minister noted.
