MNOs studying price increases as operational and capital expenditure rise due to the EGP devaluation

The three mobile number operators (MNOs) in Egypt, Vodafone Egypt (VFE), Orange Egypt (previously Mobinil) and Etisalat Misr are looking into addressing the National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) over raising tariffs as capital and operating costs have risen due to the devaluation of the EGP against the USD. According to unnamed sources, Orange Egypt is expected to witness a EGP500 million increase in operating costs in 2016. (Al Borsa)
