BG Group can export gas, debt repayment depends on CBE provisions
The Oil Ministry has promised to allow BG Group to export LNG through the Idku liquefaction plant, sources told Al Borsa, but the payment of existing receivables is contingent upon the Ministry getting solid allocation from the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE). That said, the government has refused to increase the purchase price of natural gas from BG’s Phase 9B of the West Delta Deep Marine Concession from the current cap of USD5.88 per mmBtu, the sources added.
