Al Khaleej Sugar plans to build a sugar factory in Egypt with annual production capacity of 450 ktpa of beet, according to the Ministry of International Cooperation. The announcement came after Minister Sahar Nasr’s visit to the company’s factory in UAE port of Jebel Ali. Al Khaleej Sugar, which was founded in 1995, has a daily capacity of 7 ktpa of refined white sugar and exports to over 50 countries, including neighboring countries in the Arab Gulf.
