Yields fall on six-month and one-year at Thursday’s T-bill auction
The average yield on the 182-day treasury bills fell to 19.379% at Thursday’s auction from 19.388% at the previous auction. The average yield for the 357-day treasury bills fell to 19.200% from 19.243% previously. Foreigners purchased EGP2bn in total (EGP1bn of each bill) at the auction, out of EGP5.75bn worth of the 182-day bills and EGP5.25bn worth of the 357-day bills issued by the Central Bank (CBE) on behalf of the Ministry of Finance.
