United Bank grants EGP250 million financing for Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company, as part of EGP1 billion syndicated loan
United Bank has secured EGP250 million financing as part of a total loan of EGP1 billion jointly led by ADIB Egypt and United Bank in favor of the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC), according to the bank’s deputy Chairman Farag Abdel Hamid. He added that the bank’s strategy targets financing renewable energy projects. The bank’s total loan book reached EGP5.4 billion in 1Q2016, of which EGP1 billion are dedicated to SMEs financing, with the bank’s strategy aiming to boost SME financing to 25% of its total loan book.
