UAE hotels report increasing occupancy levels in February
Hotels in the UAE witnessed their highest February occupancy levels since 2008, according to STR data. Occupancy increased 6ppt Y-o-Y, ADR rebounded 1.4% to cAED714 after falling for many consecutive months. RevPAR also rose 7.5% to an average of cAED600. Performance was attributed to major events held in February, including the International Defense Exhibition and conference in Abu Dhabi and the Gulfood conference in Dubai. As for Middle East region, mixed figures were reported: occupancy rose 3.2%, ADR fell by 1.8%, and RevPAR increased by 1.3%.
