Topaz Energy and Marine, a subsidiary of Renaissance Services, has expanded its fleet with the acquisition of the anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel Mamlaka, taking its total number of vessels to 100, including three newbuilds currently under construction. The vessel was acquired as part of a contract with an oil major in its key Gulf market and is currently in Dubai being prepared for deployment, a statement on the Topaz website said. AHTS vessels typically perform services including anchor handling, towing offshore platforms, barges, production modules and vessels and supply services and account for around one-third of Topaz’s fleet. Our view: This new vessel addition will not make any significant changes to our current estimates for Renaissance as we already forecast the addition of at least one vessel per year over our forecast horizon.
