Tasnee targeting 1H2017 for commercial start-up of titanium slag unit
National Industrialization Company (Tasnee) [2060.SE] announced that technical work and testing for its titanium slag project remain ongoing due to the large size of the project and the nature of the technology which requires a long time to conduct the necessary tests. The company now expects that trial operations would begin in 2H2016, with commercial operations targeted for 1H2017. Note that the project, which will provide titanium slag feedstock for Tasnee, is 50%-owned by Tasnee and Cristal (79%-owned by Tasnee). (Tadawul)
