SMN Power Holding said it expects a negative financial impact of RO1.1 million from the breakdown of a gas turbine generator at its Barka plant earlier in March. According to the company, Gas Turbine 1 (GT1) tripped on generator protections at the plant on 14 March and, since then, the generator has been opened to inspect and assess the situation. The company expect a negative financial impact of OMR1.1 million and also said that these unexpected technical issues may affect the interim dividend for the period ending 30 June 2016. (Muscat Daily)
