Saudia establishes low-cost carrier Flyadeel, to start operating mid-2017
Saudia Airlines announced the establishment of a new low-cost carrier company, Flyadeel, to provide affordable air transport within the Kingdom. Flyadeel is expected to begin operating in mid-2017, according to the Director General of Saudia, Saleh Al Jasser. While the flight schedule is yet to be announced, the new airline is currently registering its trademark from Jeddah, where its hub will be. The launch of Flyadeel coincides with the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) completion of construction of new airports and the development of existing ones. (Saudi Press Agency, Argaam)
