The government is reported to have agreed to allow cement and steel producers to export their excess production, above local demand, according to the vice chairman of Cement Companies National Committee, Ahmed Zaqeel, speaking to Al Riyadh. Al Zaqeel added that there is still a need to offer further clarification on the limitations set by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on this matter. A lot of producers are seeing requests and calls from cement traders in Yemen, which is expected to be one of the major export destinations for Saudi cement exports, Zaqeel added.. (Argam ,Al Riyadh)
