Real estate transactions grow 8% Y-o-Y in 2015, says Dubai Land Department
Total real estate transactions in Dubai totaled AED267 million in 2015, according to a recent report by the Dubai Land Department (DLD), showing 8% Y-o-Y growth, with 63,719 transactions. Sale transactions crossed the 48,000 transaction mark, with a total value of AED130 billion, while mortgages crossed the 12,000 mark, with a total value of AED117 billion. Sale and mortgage transactions related to land transactions exceeded AED194 billion, with the total of 16,751 transactions. Land transactions were the highest in Al Yafra 2 area, with 15,563 transactions worth a total of AED3.3 billion in value. This is followed by Al-Hebeya 3, with 1,360 transactions worth AED4.0 billion, then by Al-Yafra 3 with 926 transactions worth AED1.7 billion. Within the unit sales category, Business Bay came in first, with 3,212 transactions, worth AED5.0 billion, followed by Al Hebiya 4, with 3,080 transactions worth AED2.6 billion, while Dubai Marina came in third, with 3,059 transactions worth a total of AED6.2 billion.
