On a happy note - UAE ranks ahead of GCC countries according to the World Happiness Report
The UAE was ranked 28th in this year’s World Happiness Report. The report was released in Rome ahead of today’s UN World Happiness Day. Last year, the UAE placed 20th, down from 14th in 2013. The report said the UAE was affected by the changes in survey methods because the non-Emirati population was sampled. This has caused its ranking to drop for technical reasons unrelated to life in the UAE. Saudi Arabia placed 34th, Qatar 36th and Kuwait 41st. (The National)
