OMR72 million healthcare project to start in Q2 in Oman
Initial construction work on a major integrated healthcare complex planned at Al Hail in Muscat Governorate is due to kick off by around the middle of this year, according to a key executive of the company overseeing the implementation of the private-led venture. Mohsin Shaik - Director and Head of Islamic Finance, Al Madina Investment, said the project – which envisions a 225-bed tertiary-care hospital, 120-key three-star hotel apartments, 300 residential apartments, fitness centre and a dedicated retail space – is progressing as planned. Total investment in the venture is estimated at around OMR72 million. Al Madina International Hospital project, as the integrated complex is proposed to be named, is targeted for completion by late 2018 or early 2019. (Oman observer)
