Omantel has signed a formal memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ericsson to enhance network capabilities and services according to the sultanate’s leading telecom operator’s new transformation strategy. Under the terms of the MoU, Omantel and Ericsson will form joint teams to collaborate on four key areas of network improvement, focusing on deployment of intelligent network upgrades and enhancements; development of innovative fixed and mobile products and services; expansion of Omantel’s product portfolio; as well as joint evaluation of potential areas for future collaboration, a press statement said on Monday.
