New ministerial decree requiring restaurants to have three female employees present in kitchens at all shifts
The Ministry of Labor has set a new requirement for fast-food chains and restaurants stipulating that there must be a minimum of three female employees in restaurant kitchens present during all shifts. The requirement came as one of the most important conditions set by the Ministerial Decree regulating female employment in restaurant kitchens, according to Okaz newspaper, citing the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Special programmes, Abdel Moneim Al-Shehri. The requirements also demanded that female workers are allocated special areas where they can work independently. (Argaam)
