Mitsui-led consortium secured Ibri Sohar3 power project
A consortium including Japan's Mitsui & Co, Saudi Arabia's International Company for Water and Power (ACWA Power) and Dhofar International Development & Investment Holding have been awarded a contract to own and operate Oman's 3,219 megawatt Ibri Sohar3 power generation project, a statement said on Wednesday. The project will be owned and operated under a 15-year power purchase agreement with Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (OPWP), the statement from Dhofar International said. Ibri Sohar3 is the largest single tendered independent power project in Oman, the statement said. (Reuters)
