Kuwait KNPC refining capacity to rise to 1.4mn bbl/day from 936K bbl/day
Kuwait National Petroleum Company completed 50% of execution phases for the project to upgrade refineries to produce cleaner burning fuel, KNPC CEO Mohammed Ghazi al-Mutairi said at a conference in Kuwait City. The company spent so far KWD 1.66b billion on clean fuel project. It plans to go ahead with Al-Zour refinery 2nd stage to refine fuel oil into lighter products. Al-Zour refinery will become a full-conversion refinery. KNPC also finished studies for upgrade of al-Zour.
