Jazeera Airway denies rumoured stake sale by major shareholder

Jazeera Airway, the Kuwaiti low cost carrier, has denied that its major shareholder Boodai Corporation plans to sell its stake in the airline or entering into mergers or acquisitions, said in a company statement to the local stock exchange. Boodai, which directly owns 16.89% of the carrier, did not rule out the future possibility of a sale however, as the firm is always reviewing its investments. Last week several news sources reported that a global advisor was appointed for the deal. (Company Disclosure, Reuters)
