Jabal Omar Development Company (Jabal Omar) has reported its headline figures for the three months period ending on 30 Rabi Al-Awwal 1437 (10 January 2016). Net loss for the period came in at SAR75.5 million, versus net profit of SAR145.2 million in corresponding quarter of last year, and net loss of SAR126.5 million in the previous quarter. Gross profit was SAR8.5 million, versus SAR169.4 million in gross profit and SAR26.2 million, respectively. Operating profit was in the red, coming in at SAR21.4 million, versus SAR152.6 million in operating profit, SAR94.9 million in operating loss, respectively. Management attributed the loss reported for the quarter to lower revenue from the sale of residential units, higher G&A expenses and booked provisions on doubtful debts. (Tadawul)
