According to Al Borsa, the Industrial Development Authority (IDA) is mulling the requests of the cement companies to obtain new cement licences next May. The IDA has previously offered 14 cement licences and only three companies have received the licences; the IDA is now offering the 11 remaining licences to investors with a capacity of 2mn tonnes per licence at the same value of EGP150mn like previous licences approved. The news source added that the licences would be located in i) Foka Industrial city in Marsa Matruh; ii) Abu Zenaima area in South Sinai; iii) West Attaka Industrial Area in Suez; iv) two licences in Minya Governorate; v) two licences in Aswan; vii) licence in the New Valley; viii) licence in Sohag industrial area; and ix) two licences in the province of Qena.
