Government to convert 142k minibuses to dual fuel system in three years
The government is looking to launch a national project to equip 142k minibuses with dual fuel engines within the next three years. The project also involves replacing 88k outdated minibuses with domestically manufactured new ones, as well as building 351 natural gas stations. The Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) has already approached 11 global auto companies, including Toyota, as a partner on the project, with a plan to launch the first natural gas powered bus by Jun 2020.
