GB Auto aims to assemble 30,000 Chery cars in first year in Egypt
GB Auto (AUTO.CA) is targeting to assemble 30,000 Chery passenger cars in the venture’s first year in Egypt, said Aboul Fotouh Automotive CEO Hassan Aboul Fotouh. In 4Q2015 GB Auto signed a tripartite agreement with Chinese company, Chery International, and Aboul Fotouh’s Automotive for the distribution rights for Chery, known as Speranza in the Egyptian market The company launched the Envy and Tiggo models under the Chery brand, during a meeting with representatives of Abul Fotouh Automotive and Cherry International. GB Auto also announced its plan to launch new services for the vehicles including finance programs, eight after-sales service centers, and 19 showrooms across the country.
