Electricity Ministry to sign seven MoUs with French companies during Hollande’s visit to Egypt
The Electricity Ministry is expecting to sign seven memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with French companies on 18 April 2016 during the French President’s, Francois Hollande, visit to Cairo, according to a source in the ministry. The ministry will sign MoUs with several companies to build solar energy plants with 20-50 MW capacity. In addition, the ministry will sign MoUs with Neon, Engie, Solair Direct and EFD for new and renewable energy projects, thermal power stations, transmission and distribution projects. No further details regarding the cost of the projects have been disclosed except that they will be financed by the French Development Agency (ADF). (Al Mal)
