DHL to postpone Cairo International Airport Expansions
DHL Egypt has postponed its plans to expand the logistics area in Cairo International Airport, in response to the new regulations set by the US for Air Freight shipping from Egypt in response to the Metrojet crash in October 2015, according to the company’s country manager, Ahmed Elfangary. The company had previously announced the expansions will cover 10,000 m2 and will be set to commence operations in 1Q2016. However, as the company is facing difficulties in shipping to the US, which accounts for 10% of the company’s shipments from Egypt, it has decided to halt expansions. (Al Mal)
