Contracts for Al-Maktoum International Airport extension is due next week

The Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP) is preparing to receive bids from contractors on 31 January for the contract covering the expansion of the existing passenger terminal at Al-Maktoum International airport in Jebel Ali. The tender was initially issued in December 2014, but the deadline for the bids was extended several times during 2015. The contract mostly involves MEP works, in addition to limited construction works and the supply of specialised airport systems, including baggage handling systems. A JV of Arabtec Construction and Germany’s Max Boegl, built the existing passenger terminal at the Al-Maktoum International Airport, whilst the fit-out was completed by South Korea-based Kumho.
