CGC signs KWD43.2 million contract in Oman; not a new addition to backlog
Combined Group Contracting (CGC) has announced it has signed a KWD43.2 million contract in Oman, related to extending infrastructure, roads and construction works at Duqm Port. The duration of the project is 30 months, whilst its execution started in February 2016. The contract was originally announced in December and is therefore part of the December 2015 backlog. CGC had announced two new contract wins YTD, totaling KWD45.2 million. Our numbers incorporate KWD390 million in total awards for the year, down 15% Y-o-Y, compared to an exceptionally strong 2015, in which contract awards grew by 60%, mainly driven by infrastructure and construction contracts in Kuwait and Abu Dhabi.
