The Central Bank of Kuwait told treasury heads at local banks to prevent speculation, bets on the decline of dinar or other GCC currencies. While noting the absence of any dinar speculation, the central bank told the banks to beware of speculation on dinar forwards. The central bank said that it has confidence in the currency and is not concerned about sporadic speculation. (Bloomberg)
