CBE extends rescheduling of loans owed by tourism companies to three years
Central Bank of Egypt Governor Tarek Amer approved the extension of the rescheduling of loan installments by tourism companies to three years, Al-Ahram reported, saying CBE will be forming a committee to look into investors’ requests on a case by case basis. Previously companies were allowed to postpone loan installments for six months without being subject to penalties. The CBE will also be studying the companies’ request to pay some of their USD interest payments in the equivalent of EGP. (Al-Ahram)
