Banque Misr to consider entering Ivorian market

State-owned Banque Misr is considering entering the Ivorian market as part of its regional expansion plan in Africa through opening a branch or a representation office. Bank Chairman Mohamed El-Etreby met with the Ivorian Minister of Trade, Handicraft and Small Scale Enterprises Jean-Louis Billon to discuss how the bank can come into the Ivorian market, and to be acquainted with required procedures and available opportunities. El-Etreby said that negotiations are at an early stage and that a thorough study will be carried out to determine available opportunities. (Al Mal)
