Abu Dhabi hotel occupancy up in March, rates down

The average occupancy rate at hotels in Abu Dhabi is estimated to have risen 4 ppt Y-o-Y in March to 83.3%, while average daily rates are estimated to have fallen by 4.9% Y-o-Y to AED516, with revenue per room inching down 1.1% Y-o-Y to AED429, according to a recent report by STR Global. Occupancy figures were supported by an eventful quarter, where the Integrated Offshore Commissioning course took place and the Aviation and Aerospace Week, which included the Abu Dhabi Air Expo.
