Abu Dhabi announces new waterside entertainment district
Abu Dhabi Municipality has announced a USD231 million tourism and entertainment project named Al-Qana. The project will span over 150,000 sqm in the Maqta area of Abu Dhabi and is scheduled to be completed in 2Q2018. It will include a 5,000-cubic-metre aquarium, making it the largest in the emirate. The developer, Al-Barakah International Investments, says it has leased 2.5 km of land from Abu Dhabi Municipality to construct the project on a build-operate-transfer basis. (MEED)
